OUR STORY

Aaron Whaley and Matt Smith first crossed paths in the Omaha, Nebraska hockey community. Aaron was volunteering his time and services around town to friends, sports teams, and a variety of charities. Matt was coaching young athletes and becoming more and more involved in Omaha’s budding hockey scene.

After many hours spent at the local rinks together, they realized they had several interests and hobbies that aligned, with a few in particular that stood out amongst the rest—sports and helping others.

Both former college athletes (Aaron football, Matt hockey), the two saw an opportunity to merge their passions after the Name, Image, and Likeness policy was established. Enter Signed Sports Management.

Utilizing our expertise on athletics, business, and charity, Signed Sports Management aims to maximize the earning potential of student-athletes and brands amongst the NIL Landscape—and build lasting relationships and more connected communities along the way.

UNDERLINE

The thin underline is a reference to a signature line—a nod to the contracts athletes sign (whether that’s for a professional team down the road, or a brand partnership today).

PEN ICON

The logo mark shows an icon for a pen, with the silhouette of an athlete running inside it. The pen is a direct reference to the name of the company, playing up the signature element. And the upward, sheared angle of the icon creates motion, mimicking the same left-to-right motion made when signing your name.
